Best shoe insert?

Is there any Dr. Scholls experts out there?

I'm looking to purchase the best support insert for my favorite sneakers and figured this place would know what one to get.

I've never purchased them, but i'd like something pretty thin that will provide great support.

Thanks in advance.

Um, there's a machine. Go to, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, but go to Wal-Mart(I feel dirty). Take your shoes off, stand on the machine and it will tell you which insoles will work best for you.

Thing is nobody here knows what kind of feet you have, and what works for some, won't work for all. Just make sure to sanitize the pad you step on before and your feet after, you wouldn't want to catch something from the locals.

Might be better off with Good Feet. I think they kind of automatically adjust to the pressure placed on them.

Also, if you REALLY want good insoles, and have good insurance or just don't mind tossing a few bucks this way. Go to your chiropractor, they can make a custom insole based on the way your foot carries it's load.

Good insoles are very, very expensive. The ones you get in a drug store just don't do the job. They flex way too much.

Frank, take the time to research this. First off, what exactly are you trying to accomplish with these? Are you running? Do you stand all day which results in aching feet?

Is there a reason behind the need for some support?

Get custom orthotics somewhere... they are the best. I've always had flat feet, which cause a bunch of issues... custom orthotics are the way to go.
