If this happens, your opinion of Pioli would be...

OK let's say Pioli is NOT convinced that Cassel is the only QB for us but can't work out a trade UP for RGIII or Luck. He looks at the free agents and decides they are stop gaps at best. SO...

He either trades way DOWN in the first round and picks a QB (slight reach) or he takes a QB in the second round.

Would that significantly change your opinion of Pioli?

I would tone my hatred down a bit.

Is he going to allow Stanzi and drafted QB to compete for starter?

Pioli could urinate .99999 gold on the streets of KC but if that does not equal wins, he's still a whipping boy.

He could draft Luck and RGIII but will still take the brunt of all the hate if the Chiefs don't turn it into something quickly. It is what it is. This lowly shithole team hasn't won a meaningful game in 2 decades. The town is ready. The remote fans are probably even more ready than the locals.

I disagree wholeheartedly.

If Pioli were to land Luck or RG3 and they don't pan out then at least they took a shot. That would not be Pioli's fault in the least. We, at least me, as a fanbase are sick of the safe moves for mediocre free agents and stop gap QBs. If KC winds up with either QB, the fanbase will embrace him and Pioli's hands are completely clean.

I wouldn't be thrilled if we gave up 3 firsts for either one but if that is the price to get a shot at a real franchise QB... so be it. I am ready for a fresh start. I would be equally happy if Manning heals and we land him (laugh), or if we trade down and manage to pick up both Konz and Foles.

I know, Hudson is supposed to be the C. I'd still prefer Konz and let Hudson duke it out with Lilja.

Honestly, I was 2 years old so no... I don't remember it. That also means that this was nearly 3 decades ago. You should probably get over it by now.

It is time to try again. Either that or we can tuck tail and hope we can somehow bumble**** our way into a playoff win and lord forbid a super bowl.

Id feel alot happier. The thing for me is we havent even tried in the last 25 freaking years. If you try and it dont work, then it sux, but you tried. I feel we dont even try. Like i posted in another thread, we are the only team in the last 20 years that hasnt tried to draft a franchise qb. Thats ****ing pathetic.

I'd probably get over it quickly watching Horatio Caine lifting some Clark Hunt fingerprints and Tamba Hali DNA off the Lombardi. That would pretty much work for me.

Depends on who he takes.

If we make a dumb pick and take someone like Weeden by trading up to the end of the first to get him, Id be a little pissed.

If we take a guy like Trent Richardson or Rieff at 11 and then make a move back up to the early 20s to take a project like Tannehill, Ill be happy as a bug in a rug.

Im not really intrigued by any of the guys in the next tier.

Its either Luck, RG3, Tannehill early or a guy like Kellen Moore in the 5th or 6th round.

Opinions on certain people and players won't change no matter what. Cassel could come out next year go 5-0 in regular season with 10 TDs and 1 INT and people will be mad that Stanzi isn't playing.

People want a QB, but they also want to win now with a different QB. Unlikely.

I've come to grips with the fact Cassel is going to be the starter in Sept. Luck is going to Indy no matter what we're willing to give up. RG3 won't make it past #4 and we just don't have enough ammo to outbid the Redskins and the like for the 2nd or 3rd pick. I know there are going to be those who say we should throw in some of our stars to sweeten the deal, but a couple of those stars (Bowe and Carr) aren't under contract. There are a few QBs in this years draft that could develop, but if we don't get them, the 2013 class looks much better.

We won't get Luck or RGIII. There is no one else in this draft, not in the first round anyway. So, I will hate him even more if he wastes a pick on a guy that on a guy that has only played one year of QB.

This, i dont care how the Chiefs win games or obtain a legit QB, i just want them to do it. Im starting to feel i may never see a Super Bowl run in my lifetime. IM just sort of indifferent to the whole thing right now due to age, life priorities, etc...but them losing and having not won a meaningful game in decades will beat any fan down over time.
