I know on Amazon e-books are cheaper than printed books at least some of the time.

Personally, I have no interest for one of these but I think I will have to get one for the wife for Christmas. Of course part of that is that she would be able to put her law books on there (she is going to school for paralegal) and save a lot of weight in her backpack.

Otherwise, I really don't get it either. I like the feel of the printed page while reading.

I feel the same way except for one thing: my eyes.

I'm 44 and my eyesight is really starting to go. I might need to do what my Dad did -- buy an e-reader just so I can bump up the type size.

So right now I have 2 college text books and a smattering of personal reading that I take with me to work. During down times I will either read my textbooks or something else I've put on there.

I don't have room on my motorcycle to lug around 2 or 3 books so I use this instead.

the screens are so small on these things that 1 real book page equals about 2 1/2 ereader pages.
