Mr Pioli, my humble apologies.

Like many fans I hated that second round of the last draft. You were right and we were wrong. Just wanted to get this off my chest before heading to the kitchen to try that new Crow recipe.

PS,
(Now that I have apologized, I expect you will apologize to me and the rest of the fans for the'09 draft.)

We've crowned these guys, huh?

The issue most had was the philosophical decision to take a return man at 2B. McCluster didn't do much in the offense last night, but taking a slot receiver at the top of round two seems perfectly logical to me.

I couldn't care less if Arenas is Hall II. It still wouldn't justify that draft position. To be clear, this isn't saying that he won't be a valuable contributor AND a lot of fun to watch. And these are both important elements.

They (Chiefs as a team, and Pioli going forward) need more drafts like the 2008 and 2010 ones.

You can't swing and miss as often as we have in recent years. These types of drafts build the foundation of your team. The 2010 draft looks sweet and we haven't seen anything yet out of the headliner, the once-in-a-decade type prospect who could change our defense entirely.

I'd prefer to keep the pressure on him, he needs the incentive to make the players work!

Keep towing the company line.

Arenas also played pretty damn well as the nickel back and Lewis played well.

We had strong contributions from damn near the entire rookie class.

I know it's early and it is way early but so far Homers- 1 Draftabators -0.

DN, this was a far better 2nd round than most 2nd rounds that Chiefs had ever had. Regardless of the position. These guys will make a difference.

Who knew that winning one regular season game is enough to 100% solidify the '10 class as "the best draft class in Chiefs history" (according to posters such as Hog Farmer, et al)?

Of course McCluster didn't do much on offense; Cassel is the QB. Nobody did well.

And if Arenas can turn out to be a solid nickel, he's worth it. He was in damn near 75% of the game on defense so that plus the field position he gives us, its worth it.

Well considering before 1 game a lot of the draftobators labeled them a bust, seems fair.

It works both ways. Something many people fail to realize. I don't know how the year will play out but calling this a great draft class after 1 game is no worse than calling them bad picks before they play a down.

Call me crazy.

Arenas was on the field for 95% of the D snaps, and returned kicks.
He's basically a starter, and ST player. I would use a 2B on that any day.

We are on opposite sides of the fence on this one.

I justify draft position by the impact they have on a game. Arenas made a huge play going over the top of Floyd to break up a pass and he was setting up field position the entire first half.

I think too much gets wrapped up into the specific position type has to matchup with where they are picked.

To have that kind of production from a 2nd rounder, in their first NFL game, is outstanding.
