Marvin has decided the most important thing for him at this time is to take a break from coaching and spend more time with his family. “Marvin is an excellent football coach, and he has been a key part of our defensive success here at Nebraska. Els, who just completed his sixth year as Ohio's linebackers coach, is set to meet with Husker head coach Bo Pelini today in Lincoln, a source close to Els said. Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini worked with Els for three seasons (2005-07) at Ohio. Els, a Lincoln native, also spent the past four years as Ohio's special teams coordinator. Reached Wednesday, Ohio head coach Frank Solich declined comment. Carl Pelini's familiarity with Els might be appealing to the Huskers in light of the news Wednesday that Indiana assistant coach Corey Raymond is set to become NU's secondary coach.
