Judge Throws Out Student's Suit Against Vegas Hooker Who Left Too Early
Un-freaken-believable
http://www.aolnews.com/2011/02/08/ju...r-who-left-to/ If this tale has a happy ending, it must have come too early. A federal judge dismissed New York college student Hubert Blackman's self-filed lawsuit against a Las Vegas escort service, in which he said the stripper it sent to his room at the Stratosphere for a Dec. 17 encounter only stayed a half-hour instead of the agreed-upon hour -- and that he was too drunk to properly negotiate the deal anyway. Blackman said he wanted the escort service, which he named as Las Vegas Exclusive Personals, to be shut down. "I also would like to get my $275 payment back and a $1.8 million verdict for the tragic event that happened," he wrote. U.S. District Judge Loretta A. Preska dismissed the case last week on a variety of grounds, including jurisdiction and the amount of the payment. Rather than letting the incident stay in Vegas, Blackman filed the suit in January in New York after he returned from his trip. He said he called the escort service on Dec. 17 to arrange for the stripper, whom he said was in her mid-20s. She arrived, stripped and did a lap dance for $155, then a sex act for another $120. Blackman said the dancer initiated the sex act. After the escort agency ignored his request for a refund, Blackman complained to the Better Business Bureau and local police, though he probably wishes he hadn't. He needs medical treatment, he said, for trauma caused when police told him he could be arrested for soliciting prostitution, which, believe it or not, is actually illegal in Las Vegas. "I had almost had gotten arrested," he wrote in the filing. "I just need medical treatment on mental condition & psycotic [sic] disorder." |

It's duplicitous on the part of the government. Either it's legal to be paid for sex or it isn't. There should be an exemption because someone is being filmed.
With that said, I don't know why guys that hire prostitutes don't set up a cheap camera somewhere, just in case they're busted. "But look, your Honor! I filmed it! It's a porn tape!". Plus, 90% of the chicks in porn are "escorts" on the side, hence Kacey Jordan and all of Charlie Sheen's other "lady friends" as of late. |

Government gets paid, it's that simple. Recently SF tried to legalize prostitution and Gavin Newsome didn't have shit to say about it because his coffer would be filled. Days after it failed he was on the news raiding massage parlors to lock up all these nasty places. That man is full of more shit than a fertalizer factory.

Acting, Sir! In People v. Freeman California SC decided that since the California prostitution law made it unlawful to hire someone for personal gratification, hiring someone to do the exact same thing for a film performance was OK. Thus, pornographic film actors are legally prohibited from receiving any personal gratification during the performance of sex acts during filming. Yes, this is about the slenderest of legal reeds. But, it's that or shut down a multi-billion dollar industry.
