So... bought a new vid card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150506

Radeon HD 6870 1GB for $169.99 after MIR + Dirt 3 which is an incredible rally racing (at least dirt 2 was incredible and dirt 3 has had outstanding reviews) game.

My xbox 360 kicked the bucket... AGAIN. Saying **** it to console gaming... even if I can't get any decent sports games on my pc. Tired of dicking around with busted 360's and I'm not about to sink $300 into a PS3.

I should be able to get around $50 for my current card so the price is definitely manageable. This is gonna be a MASSIVE upgrade from my HD 4850. w00t!

NBA 2K11 is the best basketball game ever....and lots of mods for it on PC.

And MLB 2K11 isn't bad.

So yes, there are good sports games on PC.

Yes. I just finished a 30-year franchise and converted the file to start another one. Gotta finish some careers.

I might be interested in buying your old one. I'm looking for something cheap that'll play TF2 on high-ish and SC2 on medium-ish. I live in Wichita as well so a trade would be easy.

I'm playing Dragon Age 2 on High with no difficulties.

Now, this card is not capable of Direct X 11, which is the reason I am upgrading. If you are not running a Vista or Win7 machine this won't make a bit of difference for you. If you are... then something for you to consider.

I knew a guy who went by the name of Blanky here in town. You wouldn't happen to be a barber... would you?

You can probably get an $50 card and run SC2 on high. That game does not ask much of your PC.

Nope that's not me.
I'm on Win7 and dont really care about DX11 as of now.
I'm not totally sure if it would compatible or whatever with my current PC or not.
It's a crappy old Dell XPS 400 with a 3.0 ghz Pentium D, 1 gig ram, nvidia 6800, 375 watt PSU

You should get NBA 2K11 now that you have a bauce vid card. It's a truly beautiful game.
