Is there ANY chance that Quinn can become another Rich Gannon-like QB for KC?
He's a 1st round pick. He has to have talent. Maybe he's matured and learned how to be a starting QB while holding the clipboard? He has better mobility than Cassel. He has a much better arm than Cassel. I'll bet he has better accuracy than Cassel. He needs to have better decision making and leadership than Cassel, which won't take much. That's a pretty low bar. Can Quinn shock the world and become a worthy starter? We can wish, can't we? I think the odds are 1 in 765.... maybe 764.

Gannon was pretty savvy. He's a smart guy and made plays more with his mind than his arm. He was also very quick witted and very, very accurate in the short-to-intermediate passing game. BBQ is the anti-Gannon.

I don't see how anybody can say there's no chance. Prior to this year he had played in a total of 14 NFL games on a bad team with crap coaching. He looked really good in limited action yesterday. I suspect he'll have a tendency to make several great plays followed by a morale-crushing interception, but if he just leaves out the interception part he could be good.

Eh, you never know?

He has the talent. I don't think he was ever given a fair shot or put in a good position to succeed. I'm glad that he is finally getting a chance to showcase his case skills and possibly prove himself on a team that desperately needs help at QB. The timing seems right.
