Time is Short for BB King
One of my all time favorites. Sucks getting old.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Blues legend B.B. King is telling fans he's in hospice care at home in Las Vegas.

The 89-year-old musician posted thanks to fans on his official website Friday for well-wishes and prayers.

Las Vegas police Officer Jesse Roybal says an ambulance was summoned Thursday to King's address and a person was hospitalized following what was characterized as a dispute over medical care.

The hospitalization was the second in a month for King, who was diagnosed with diabetes decades ago.

In October, he canceled the final shows of his 2014 tour after falling ill in Chicago.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has released more than 50 albums and sold millions of records worldwide.

Representatives for King didn't immediately respond to messages from The Associated Press.

B B is an amazing guitar player.

Many years ago we were taking a tour of the Gibson guitar factory. They had just finished a new guitar for King. I doubled back and played it for about ten minutes. Rich beautiful sound from that hollow body guitar. Loved it. A year later I saw a clip of him in concert playing the same guitar. I told my kids-"Hey I got to play that guitar before he did." He played it much better than me no doubt. I could not believe the sounds he was getting out of that guitar.

Still a great memory-he will be missed.

I saw this for the first time the other day, he is definitely one of the greats. I'm more of a strat guy, but BB can make the humbucker(s) in Lucille sing!!!

Saw him up close at the WWI Memorial back in the day, 'Spiritfest' I think it was called. Buddy Guy played too.

King of the Blues was the second CD box set I bought after Crossroads.

Karen Williams claims in new legal docs her dad is being horribly neglected by B.B.'s manager, Laverne Toney. She says Toney has hired a caregiver who got so drunk he fell asleep and B.B. fell and bashed his face in.

Williams says Toney won't take her dad to the dentist to treat his abscesses, because she says he's broke. Yet Williams claims B.B. had a $5 million balance in his account just last year.

But Williams says the money is being drained, and quickly. She says in April 2014, more than $453k was withdrawn from B.B.'s account.

TMZ broke the story, Toney refused to let the family take B.B. to the hospital late last week after the legend suffered a minor heart attack. Cops came and took B.B. to the hospital, where he was examined and then released.

Williams says Toney has claimed B.B. is at death's door, yet she won't allow anyone to see him, which Williams says is suspicious.

Williams is asking a judge to make her the guardian of her dad's estate.
