My votes in a top-notch heat:
#1 - Silence of the Lambs. It is starting to sink in just how good this movie is. It can go head to head with the heavyweights and walk away smiling. #2 - Saving Private Ryan. Any scene with that sniper dude is going to be great. But Hannibal Lector is an entirely different animal than your normal Nazi. #3 - The Shawshank Redemption. It's a great and uplifting scene. But in the end, it can't compete with the goliaths in this heat.

Shawshank is a fantastic movie - an all timer, but that scene is NOT stronger than either of the other two.

Holy shit a three way tie. 16 16 16 at this point.
I went with Silence of the Lambs because I actually read the book. The book was brilliant & scary gory detailed. The movie did pretty good but wasn't as good as the book. |

What is the official ending time of these polls? When Rain Man feels like it?
Leaves a lot of room for shenanigans. Not that RM would ever do such a thing, but a lesser pollster might. |
