When people say bacon wrapped.....

Do you honestly care what it's wrapped in?

I have a friend who invited me over and he was like we're having bacon wrapped hot dogs. I mean the last thing I thought of was ****ing hot dogs? I don't eat hot dogs, but I heard bacon wrapped. Usually bacon is wrapped with jalapeņos, potato skins, chicken or sausages.

I was lost at bacon wrapped....

When you wrap bacon around a hotdog, they are referred to as "barber poles."

I usually prepare them deep fried so that the bacon solidifies (to a certain extent) around the wiener.

And people don't "wrap" bacon with potato skins. Nor do they "wrap" bacon with jalapenos, chicken or sausage. You can wrap those items with bacon, but not the other way around.

Were you drunk when you posted this?

How do you know people don't wrap bacon with potato skins, jalapenos, chicken, or sausage? Are you saying it's impossible? I would disagree. I doubt very many people have tried it, but I'd be willing to bet that somebody has. Heck, a bacon-filled potato sounds fantastic.

Hmmm...

I've got several nice cuts of pork bellies in the freezer right now.

I think I might pull them out and play around with them the next day or so.

I was thinking about stuffing one, tying it into a log and then smoking it. I was planing on doing a pork butt today (actually, smoker is almost ready right now for the butt to go on), so I think I might throw one of those on as well.

Thanks for the idea cabletech.
