Yea don’t believe everything you read. Other than a few nice to have assets, the acquisition does nothing for Dish. DTV will lose Sunday Ticket exclusivity, and drop even more subs. They’ve invested in way too many bad subs, and their technology/equipment/billing platforms/ etc are all outdated. Their programming deals are also horrendous. DTV’s cost/break even to bring on a new sub is now well north of $1,000. Dish is focused on rural, well paying customers, and have axed thousands in major metro areas that do nothing but churn out constantly.

You are right though. 5G is Dish’s future, and why the Boost acquisition is of #1 priority at the current.

Should that say-ATT wants out of satellite and have been handing out streaming boxes.


Which for me is dumb. I cannot get ATT internet.


Add to the fact that DTV still has the Sunday Ticket contract for the next 2-3 seasons. Can't remember how long. It was auto re-upped last Aug 1.
