Would you give up a draft pick to get rid of Alex Smith?
So a lot of people hate Alex Smith now. But getting rid of him is not going to be easy. Likely we are saddled with him for at least two more years.

In a perfect world we could trade him and his big contract to some shitty team, like Jay Cutler. But the Bears are probably going to have to give up a pick to get rid of their asshole.

I would if it meant we could be completely free of our financial commitment to him.

Alex is the worst kind of failure. He'll be just good enough for us to go 8-8 and miss the playoffs every year while simultaneously bogging down our cap and hampering us from building a true contender as well as making watching games frustratingly boring each and every Sunday.
