AMD Zen
Anyone seen any more info about the Zen processor that AMD is putting out? I am considering building a new PC but might wait till this comes out. I have been looking around and can't find out much more than it will be early 2016 before it is released.

I'm sure its bound to disappoint.

I was playing around with a build not too long ago because I'll be building another in a bit and it seems like such a dogshit time to be building a computer right now its ridiculous. Skylake has like 4 options for processors and little options for parts (I'm going to build with a micro board and there's literally only 5 different choices) and intel isnt shipping coolers with the cpu anymore and since I was going to build a non-K computer that's $30-50 added expense. And DDR4 is ridiculously priced.

I feel like that should be around $850-900 instead of over $1k.

Yes, Intel stifled AMD, that fact wont ever change. Regardless, AMD has to get with it or they are going to be left behind for good.

If I have to wait that long I might just build something now. I enjoy playing BF4 and lately my computer just hasn't been keeping up with the game. I have tried killing anything extra running and I have been getting a little lag. It makes for a very unenjoyable gaming experience. I think they have tried to make the gaming better on BF4 but then they **** us guys that don't have the latest greatest computer.

What vid card you got? I haven't purchased FO4 yet. Afraid my 7770 won't cut it. I've heard it is taxing on GPU. MY CPU is an i7.

turn off god rays and roll.

The engine wasnt new when they used it in 2011 for Skyrim.

I have the gtx 275. It was great in its day but a little lacking now. I don't think that is the problem though. My processor is getting hit hard when I run it anymore. I see it spike occasionally. My Processor is an AMD Phenom II quad core 3.0. But maybe a new video card might do it. I was looking at this one:

Not the best but best for the money. I was going to buy the video card anyway maybe I will just purchase that first to see if it helps.

you could buy a 900 series g-force card and it would be a HUGE improvement over yours

2gb is fine on a card like that. You will be playing 1080p and not maxed out textures.

I rarely get to 4mb playing maxed out games in 4k

That isn't a bad card but the one I linked to is still much better for about 50 or 60 more dollars. If I spend the money to build a new machine I like to future proof it if you know what I mean.
