A bit late to the party..

[Naptown Chief]

Man, I was drained last night. Between not sleeping for two days, and a lifetime of "Because Chiefs...," I collapsed at 7:30. My God, what a glorious day. I wanted to watch the NFCCG, not that I cared who we'd play, but I couldn't. I was DONE.

I spent the day with my mother and brother. I've yet to meet a Chiefs fan in MD, despite being here 18 years now. Mom isn't a die-hard, but her husband (RIP Pops) and oldest son (me, you gooses!) were/are. It didn't rub off on Daniel, my beloved little brother. Being from SD, he WAS a Charger fan until that **** Spanos moved them. For the first time in our life Daniel was yelling, shouting, ****ING CHEERING on KC. It was so cool.

Mom cried a bit. I teared up a little. Daniel gave me a huge hug and said "The only thing that'd make me happier tonight is if Pops could have been here." He's right. Dad passed in 2011 and never got to see the franchise turnaround.

Thank you to EVERY member of the organization for making last, this, and many more years to come.

Thank you to CP. I don't know you guys personally, but I am invested in you guys. I read the prayer requests. I read the hard times threads. Despite my trolling, particularly in DC , I care about each and every one of you. I wish nothing but the best. Much love, fam!

Always nice to see another chiefs fan from Maryland. I am down in southern Maryland (St. Mary’s) and there is actually 4 other guys down here who are die hard chiefs fans as well. I am in my early 40s and have been a chiefs fan since the early 90s... thanks to Derrick Thomas and Christian Okoye who were my two favorite players .... I was big into collecting football cards. It’s been a long time coming for the day I finally get to see a chiefs Super Bowl.
