Check out encyclopedia dramatica for a wiki on the subject. Like it was said in the other thread, the website is a buglight for weirdos posting bad content.

It is fast moving and based on anonymity.

Imagine a constant stream of threads with no rules and complete anonymous posting. Anything id fair game. It breeds the lowest common denominator of poster but also is the source of a lot of creativity.
