Stewart loving visit to KU
http://www.kusports.com/news/mens_ba...l/story/112265
Stewart loving visit to KU J-W Staff Reports Tuesday, November 23, 2004 Kansas has a visitor in town for tonight's men's basketball game against St. Joseph's. Rodrick Stewart, a 6-foot-4 guard from Seattle's Rainer Beach High who recently decided to transfer from USC, is visiting KU, where he is considering a transfer. "I can't see anything better than this right here," Stewart told the Journal-World before tonight's game. "This place is great. I'll probably have a decision in a week. I'm not sure if I want to make any other visits." Stewart, a high school teammate of KU freshman C.J. Giles, also said he would return home after the trip and talk about it with his father over Thanksgiving. Stewart, who is also considering Gonzaga and Oklahoma State, averaged 4.4 points for the Trojans as a freshman. He started 17 of 27 games, hitting 34.4 percent of his field goals and 10 percent (3 of 30) of his three-pointers. He was recruited to USC by current KU assistant coach Kurtis Townsend. |

Well as people know you cant always rely on stats on evaluating a player, a guy could have great stats and transfer to you and and not do so well.

IIRC, he's better know as a defensive player with better than average ball handling skills.
But I would have to go back and find that info to confirm it.

His stats don't look too great. But I wonder what his high school stats looked like. Maybe USC wasn't the best place for him to succeed.

Do we really want Rod Stewart playing for us?
I'd go with Billy Joel first.

Just because he has struggle at USC doesn't necessarily mean he's not a good player.
