I hear using your tongue as a luffa sponge on Carl's ass is a requirement to be a Red Coater.

True fans get beer vending badges, park over at Holiday Inn and walk in the game for free.

I may be reading between the lines slightly but somebody please correct me if I'm reading this wrong:
A Red Coater markets the Chiefs by selling season tickets to his/her friends & family thereby reducing the marketing costs of a multi-billion dollar monopoly significantly. In exchange for marketing the team's product for free, you're required to purchase season tickets and make yourself available to participate in the pre-game entertainment - for free. As thanks for marketing the Chiefs product and for buying season tickets, you get to wear a red coat around the stadium. But, don't you screw up or you'll get slapped down. We mean business. Am I being overly critical? |

My great grandparents were Red Coaters. They were really proud of it, too. That's kinda where I got my Chiefs fandom from.
I think the idea's become pretty dated, but it used to be a big deal. (To them it was, anyway.) |

Did they have to pay for their own season tickets as well?
I guess I could somewhat understand the privelage so long as the people were really gaining something of value for it. Instead they're being taken advantage of. If only Carl could figure out some way to have an entire stadium rennovated by people who really like red coats.... |

I think sports have changed a lot since then. Being a Red Coater was more like being a booster for the local highschool football team. Before free-agency, salary caps and all that. |

They need to get the Red Coaters off the pre game field. They need to change the whole pre game routine. It's the same thing they have been doing since....wahy ? 1968? I know tradition and all that but how many time do we have to see the same frigging KC Wolf skit?
And while I'm venting whats up with the commercials. Surley they are not making so much money from the in stadium commercials that we have to pay $72 a seat and watch commercials? And now instead of giving us full screen replays we only get to asee half of the screen because the other half is commecial logos.

Yes, Red Coaters have to pay for their season tickets. They do earn rewards, trips, etc for ticket sales and do have several social events each year. It is not easy to earn the coat but some people still feel it is a big deal.

They need to replace their banner. It has holes in it.
