I have a bad feeling that the preview had all the funny stuff in it...this will probably suck, but of course I'll watch it. LOVED the first one.

No John Cusack will be a bit of a bummer, but it looks pretty funny.
Not theater prices funny, but definitely rental funny.

I just can't see this working without Cusack.

Do time travel comedies ever work outside travel to times we're familiar with.
BTTF was awesome, going back to the 50s. BTTF II was awful with all that cheesy futuristic shit. III was in between going further back to the old west. Original TBTM was funny because it was a movie version of 'I love the '80s.' We'd actually SEEN Cusak as a teenager in the real 80s. This one looks prone to suffering BTTF II's fate.

The first one might be the best comedy I have seen. No way this one comes close.

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2 Skips THE INTERVIEW, Time Travels to February
This isn’t all that surprising. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is now foregoing its original December 25th, 2014 release date and moving to February 20th. This makes sense for a few reasons, the first of which is that it needs to get out of the way of Seth Rogen and James Franco‘s The Interview, which is shaping up to be something of a comedic juggernaut (at least in terms of my perception – it feels like awareness is high for that one). Also telling? My first thought when I saw this news was, “that was supposed to come out on Christmas?” It doesn’t feel like they’ve been aggressively marketing the movie (aside from the trailer) and I feel like February is safer ground for this franchise anyway. Paramount also moved Scouts vs. Zombies from that date and placed it on October 30th, 2015, also a move of confidence in that horror comedy it looks like. Steve Pink‘s sequel stars Clark Duke, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Chevy Chase, with Adam Scott playing a new part to fill the void left by John Cusack. Truth? I’ll definitely be seeing Hot Tub Time Machine 2 in February.
