... the poor man had a serious stroke, and it's been a year, and he still slurs his speech terribly. Isn't there a way to go out gracefully? Admit that the broadcasting career is over? That some traditions have to end -- and should end before the body assumes room temperature?

I was on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in 1991.
part of the dancing crowd.

We filmed it in Hollywood in November. See, the dropping of the ball is live, then they cut away to the bands singing and us doing the American Bandstand thing. FILMED SIX WEEKS EARLIER! They even had the party favors and the balloons drop from the ceiling and everything.
We saw, the OJays, Bel Biv DeVoe, The Beach Boys, Nelson, and the Kentcky Headhunters. Try looking cool while friggin' dancing to "Way down in Cocomo"
