Unemployment

This unemployment is a friggin' joke. I've been out of work for six weeks, and still nothing. I got the letter stating how much I would get, etc. I've been filing online, and I've checked yes when it asked if I've gone to school. Finally, this week, I received a questionnaire regarding my schooling. I've heard I won't get unemployment if I'm going to school, due to that making me not available for FT work. I worked FT and went to school for five months before getting fired (er, permanently laid off). I also go to school of an evening, but I can switch to the morning classes if I need to. I put all of this on there. Anyone who understands unemployment better than I do think I stand a chance of getting it?

UPDATE: I received a few letters from the Division of Employment Security. The week of 12/4 is what they are considering my waiting week. After inquiring, I finally found out that I am supposed to contact a minimum of three employers per week (which I've been doing more than that anyway). Also, I received a letter stating that I might now qualify for a Pell Grant on top of receiving my unemployment benefits. As instructed, I am taking taking the letter to my financial aid department at school. Wish me luck (on both fronts)!

File online or at a office .. it'll take a few weeks to get it started .. but after your waiting week they'll bak-pay you then start your weekly checks .. good luck .....

ps.. you can also get a part-time job and unemployment will make up the rest .. meaning whatever your weekly payment is if you make less at a part=time they will pay you the part your job doesnt .......

I'm not going to lie. With my luck, doing something like that will completely come back to bite me in the ass somehow.

I had a friend who did that. I'm going to come across as completely lazy, but why work then? I know it will make the unemployment last longer, but I really hope to find full time employment in six months.

I have never filed for unemployment, but I know anything to do with Government, must be black and white.

You either fit into this category, or that one, no in between or flex answers.

I think I'm going to go up there tomorrow. I've heard there's something that helps you with tuition if you file for it in time, too. I've got a student loan, but it didn't cover the entire amount of tuition. At the time, I also made too much to qualify for any grants.
