What's the weirdest drink you've made? And did you like it?
The wife was in a fiesty mood tonight and wanted to try a new drink. We've got some awful Jose Cuervo Silver tequila that I've been meaning to use, so I Googled some recipes. I found this: The Vampira.
I had to go get Clamato, which I found at our local, and very Mexican, Price Chopper, as "Jugo de Tomate y Camarron" (juice of tomato and shrimp--yikes). So, hot sauce, shrimp, and grapefruit? Sounds awful, but she wanted it. I tried it... man, I'm just not a zesty alcohol guy. It was disgusting, but she liked it, so hopefully I get a HJ at the least. Will report back later. Anyway, what's the weirdest shit you've made? Did you like it? |

I didn't specify who the HJ would be coming from.

I want to defend myself against that fabrication, but I'll probably end up somewhere similar before the night's through. I'll allow it.

Ugh.
I remember in high school, going out to a farm party, in the middle of nowhere with my girlfriend, I got ballsy with a bottle of grain and nothing to chase. I was deballsed in front of her for the 15 minute duration of the ride. |

My God. Is your stomach made of concrete? That would've been a green-grey stain in my floor, guaranteed.

The wife and I got to talking about this. She's done a number of events as a bartender, though never been a full-time "mixologist". The weirdest she could recall off the top of her head was "the liquid steak"-- rum and worcestershire sauce. That sounds like it could be the best or worst thing ever. She didn't try it.

An old girlfriend once mixed me a Zima and Clamato. (I hate both) Anyway, it smelled and tasted just like Chicken In A Basket crackers. She loved that nasty shit.

Our friends gave my wife the book of SHOTS by Ben Reed for Christmas in 2008. It contains 51 different shots. She promptly made a New Years resolution for us to complete the book in 2009. We made it, after about $1500 in liquor bills. I should have created a thread because it was awesome. I know now what good liquor is. The best part is I now have an LED lit liquor cabinet with better liquor than most bars have. We all wrote comments for every shot and it is funny to go back and look at them. Anyway, out of the 51 different shots that was the worst. My all time favorite is probably a B52. Layered Kahlua, Bailey's, and Grand Marnier. Layered shots are awesome. |
