Two and a Half Men needs to just die already
It appears that CBS’ Two and a Half Men season 11 is heading in more of a Two Men and a Little Lady direction.
According to a report from Deadline, the new idea is that Charlie Sheen‘s character, Charlie Harper (who, after a voltile exit from the show was replaced by Ashton Kutcher‘s Walden Schmidt) has a long lost daughter who shows up looking for her dad and will eventually “move in with Walden and her uncle Alan Harper (Jon Cryer).” The role is yet to be cast. So, now we’re supposed accept a girl as the Half of the series title, Two and a Half Men? Is this just wrong on so many levels and should the CBS show just call it quits once and for all? Or is a feminine touch exactly what Two and a Half Men needs to spark some interest? http://moviepilot.com/stories/976306...fb-stream-post |

I never thought the show was funny at all.
I gave it a good try too.

Two and a Half Men is still a Top Twenty show, so unless it plummets in 2013, there will likely be a a 2014 season.
Angus T. Jones' comments angered the brass at Warner Brothers, which resulted in reduced air time for his character. Since it's unlikely that he'll be a regular in 2013, they needed another angle because a show with just Cryer and Kutcher just wouldn't work. I don't watch the show but know several people that work and have worked on the show and they say it's better on set that at any time in the show's history. So as long as the writers continue to entertain, this show likely won't go away. |

I run hot and cold on 2 1/2 Men. I've watched most all the episodes, but it's by no means appointment television. Often I let them pile up for a month or two and put them on when doing laundry or dishes. Most everyone is an able comic actor, they bring in plenty of high quality eye candy, and there's usually one or two solid quips per episode.
But lately, they've really run Ducky through the wringer, almost to the point that you start to suspect that the writers have a grudge against Cryer. Rare is the episode where he isn't either stranded somewhere very public in his tighty whities, or LITERALLY falling into a pile of shit, or making awful noises in the bathroom after eating Mexican. But, at the bottom line, so long as there's the tiniest chance that April Bowlby will guest star, I'll be there.

The wild thing is that her and Kate Winslet pretty much started in the same place, Heavenly Creatures.

I've lost 12 lbs in the last two weeks, mister. We just got through our new minimum skills testing. Your next opportunity to watch me do this is June 8 at Skateport at 6pm (actually, closer to 7:30, since my team is actually the second bout of the evening).
