Horrible accident on the way to work this morning. (Pic posted)

I drive on a dangerous highway, the majority of individuals that travel on the road work in the oilfields. Some work all day and night and drive with little sleep. As I'm driving I look down towards my radio to check the time. I look up and a truck rolled into a field in the opposite lane.

It registered to me within seconds that a vehicle had gone off the road, I couldn't see the truck because there was a dust cloud. I immediately pull over to offer any help that was needed. There was 3 other guys on scene before me trying to figure out what to do. I run up to the guys and ask if everyone is okay. Both guys (the 3rd individual was helping a passenger that was ejected) told me the passenger appears to be deceased, but the individual in the back was alive.

I go to the passenger door and try to open it, at this point another bystander tries to help me. It wasn't budging, I reached into the truck and feel for the lock. I unlocked the door and it opens about an inch and the passenger moaned and started to move at this point. There was a sigh of relief.

There was 3 individuals involved in the wreck, the guy who got ejected was alive, but in serious condition. We called for the medivac and they came within 15-20 minuets. The hardest part about this whole thing is that you really can't do anything. You just have to sit there and wait. These guys were trying to crawl out, but couldn't. The truck was smashed all to hell. It was a helpless feeling. Drive safe and buckle up. These guys got really lucky today.

At the time all 3 individuals were moving and moaning. I'm hoping they all survived. Not sure the severity of their injuries.

Been there, I understand. Only my story didn’t end so well, a friend bled out before they could get him to the hospital and I was just inches from getting tangled up in the same accident.

Man that's too bad just thank God you were left to talk about it. That can even help others who experience stuff like that.

Trust me, I do thank God for being able to talk about it.
Crazy the connections we make: Mrs. Radar was pregnant with Mini Radar when it happened. 20 minutes before I called to explain it to her she got an overwhelming feeling of dread and thought to herself, “What if something happened and I had to raise this baby alone?” which would have been right when the accident was happening.

My mother in law once was driving behind a car that went off the road at night in the middle of winter into a ditch in the Rockies. Where the car landed was not visible from the road at all, so if she hadn't seen them go off and called 911, they would have been stuck there until... spring, maybe?

Scary! I had a buddy who slid off the road (out of eye sight) on his motorcycle. It was revealed that he wasn't immediately killed, had two broken legs and pelvis, but ultimately died of dehydration from being down there for weeks before he was found.

Them snow drifts in Estes park are deep.

There's a gauge on side of the road.

Could have been even worse if the driver had been a romance novelist and some crazed fan/former nurse had found him.
