It helps when the line judge names her kid after you.

You could have put about 20 QB's on Tampa's team last night and won the game if we only score 9 points,
How many of them win games back-to-back in New Orleans and GB to get there, like he did. |

GOAT has become synonymous with "most accomplished" in the ultimate team sport. He has the longevity aspect going for him in a sport that is hopeless for 40 year olds. Media likes to spin team accomplishments as QB driven. But it is impressive that he happens to be the QB of four SB winning teams in the last seven years.

He played a disastrous second half against GB with 3 INTs and got bailed out by his defense too. He's truly one of the luckiest humans in history. It is why I was one of the few Chiefs fans to pick TB to win this game. There's a magic sort of devilish luck that surrounds that guy that I wanted no part of facing.

Again I think 20 QB last night in the exact same situation would have won. We scored 9 points.... I get our receivers dropped passes and our O-Line was worse than bad but he didn't do anything last night that would scream MVP, their D-Line dominated... period. |

He's definitely the most successful QB in history. A combination of greatness and longevity. As well as the desire to keep playing. And yes, being in the right place helps. You don't win 7 Super Bowls by yourself. Football is the hardest sport to do that. There's over 50 men dressed for every game.
Is he the best QB I've ever seen? No. He's not even top 3. But if I'm starting a franchise, you can't do much better than a QB who will play 20 years for you at a high level. |

Brady isn't that impressive. I grew up loving the gunslingers like Favre, Marino and Moon. I'm also a huge fan of the new era of QBs, the Rodgers/Mahomes/Allen types. It's hard to watch ANY of those guys and still be impressed by Brady's Alex Smith-esque dinks and dunks. It's even less impressive when you factor in the cheating and the officiating.
I always hated Peyton for the ref help he got on stacked teams. Brady is no better. The media acts like he's LeBron when he's really a Steve Nash at best.

His physical tools are very average and its hard to think back to the 50 plus games I've seen him play where I was blown away thinking, " this guy is one of the best ever" . He just kinda gives you the feeling like he is on a good team and just helps it along. If I started a team right now with any QB to pick when they started their career I think Brady would be in the 20-25 range ranking from 1-50 all time. Brady is a 85-89% QB, a solid B+ but he has never been nor will ever be elite. I know you can say this about any QB but if he was drafted by the Bungels or the Lions, or Browns etc he would of been out of the league a LONG time ago. Brady is good but he was not the True MVP nor the GOAT, if anything he is just the GOAT of superbowl rings but not of ability. |
