![]() This is I think the upgraded model. The lifter, as the name sounds, lifts the receiver off the base. When I press a button on the headset, it lifts the phone. All else, I use the base as a normal base phone, wired receiver or speaker phone, re-dial, caller ID, store numbers, mute etc. Thus, make a call/re-dial, then when connected, put on the headset, press the lifter button and talk and pace for ??300ft. I am a caveman, and don't know how common these things are. The wife uses a Plantronics wireless. I don't know how that works. The bottom line is, to dial a number and walk around and talk. Ideas? Wired phone? What is this ancient magic you speak of?
I'm not good here. Bluetooth + cell + voice command. But they make models like you have with a little number pad. Or they used to anyway. |

I've used wired headsets and bluetooth headsets with our super fancy ultra costly Cisco video phones. Bluetooth is kind of flaky so now I just use the wired headset and deal with the fact that I look like a member of mission control.
Stick with the wired. |

Wired with the lifter is what I am leaning towards. I don't know how else one would dial a number efficiently. BTW, on a different note...I hate my smart phones' keypad. The touch sensitive pad always adds more numbers.
Thus the reason to have a wired "normal" dial pay with a wired base. |

I use a plantronics bluetooth at the office. it's great. I can walk around and everything, no issues with dropping calls or anything.
