Play Keyaron Fox More...

Boy, Key must be a real bust if he can't get into the rotation at one of the LB spots. Most teams run some type of a rotation but it looks like the LB's are getting rested when KC goes nickel or dime.

The reason I ask is that I watched his entire career at Tech and to see Daryll Smith providing an immediate impact at LB for the Jags, I wish Key would get a chance to compete for some playing time as well. Key was arguably better than Smith their Senior year at Tech.

Do the KC coaches not like to play rookies or has anyone heard if he is that far behind the other LB's?

TIA

I believe he was injured against the Broncos, and just got back against the Ravens.

Just checked kcchiefs.com and he is listed on the depth chart as injured but not on the injury report for the Ravens game.

Sad part is that it looked like we drafted 4 or 5 guys who may be able to step in and at least play and contribute a little, and most of them ended up hurt. Wilson, Fox, Allen, Parker.... all have missed games with injuries.

Thanks for the update guys. I wasn't sure if it was a coaching thing or what.

I watched the Monday night Green Bay game and their LB's got spanked from kickoff to final gun yet they stayed with their 3 starters (one was a fill-in start) the entire game. Doesn't make sense especially if the starters aren't getting it done.

Here's to getting the young guys healthy and on the field to see what the Chiefs got in the draft.

Most teams DO NOT rotate linebackers. I don't know what you are all bitching about, especially with the way our defense has played the last two weeks.

If you think Barber is weak against the run, Fox will be even worse. Both are coverage-type guys.

I kinda expected to see Key out there when Fujita went out. He was hurt a lot during the preseason and it looks like the coaches were just more comfortable with Beisel at the time. Fox should be a good player for us though in the years to come.

Here's a photo of KU's head coach going nuts at a basketball game after discovering there was no prize in the Cracker Jack box:
