2005-06 Defensive Starters

Though the offseason isn't over, name who you project to be the starting eleven and lets put this in perspective. Also if you want to speculate about further FA acquisitions here, go ahead, but let's not get too caught up on players who are not Chiefs yet.

Me,

NT - Ryan Sims
T - Jr. Siavii
LE - Carlos Hall
RE - Jared Allen
MLB - Kendrell Bell
LOLB - Shawn Barber
ROLB - Derrick Johnson
RCB - Patrick Surtain
LCB - Eric Warfield
FS - Greg Wesley
SS - Sammy Knight

NT - Sims - Siavii gets a lot of playing time.
T - Dalton
LE - Hicks - Hall gets a lot of playing time.
RE - Allen - Hall gets some time here too.
MLB - Mitchell - Had 29 tackles and two sacks the last three games of last season.
LOLB - Bell - Barber is backup when he returns from injury.
ROLB - DJ - Fuj gets decent playing time subbing in.
RCB - Surtain - I don't think much needs to be said.
LCB - Warfield - He only serves one game suspension since as far as I know the way the NFL policy works is that you are supposed to get a one game suspension before you get the four gamer.
FS - Greg Wesley - Plays with a chip on his shoulder and starts actually punishing people again. One of the pleasant surprises of this season.
SS - Knight - Leader on and off the field.

I didn't think we played a traditional NT in Guns D. I thought it's just like the LBs with a left and right.

The only questions now are a) Does Fujita start the first game or two or de we get Johnson immediately? and b) Woods or Wesley? and c) Siavii or Dalton?

A) Johnson, most complete defensive player out of college will start day one

B) Wesley, the aging Woods will see the field though this year, but Wesley probably is peeved with the Knight move that he should come out of TC top dog and hungry.

C) I chose Siavii because he has good pressure potential, and Dalton does sh*t in the way of pressuring the QB.
