Who is starting at cornerback this week?

Hopefully Surtain is back, not sure what the news on Warfield is, but I sure hope that Washington starts. He has shown that he can still play. He made three key tackles and was on Moss most of the day. Not sure Moss was going full speed all the time, but Washington seems to know how to stay with a receiver.

On the other hand, Warfield still looked flat. He gave up a bunch, had a hard time even pushing the receiver out of bounds.

Surtain > Washington > Warfield > Sapp > Waterboy > McPasson

Cover 4 on 3rd down. Washington, Warfield, Wesley, Sapp. I'd like to see Benny get a crack at a pick, instead of a peek at a crack.

Let's see, Warfield leads the team in tackles with 11 even though he did not play the last five minutes of the game. The Raiders are held to three field goals until Warfield gets hurt and has to leave the game. At that point, the Raiders score to passing touchdowns.

Not sure how you came to your conclusions??

I would like to see Warfield and Surtain start with Washington as sub and nickle.

He led the team in tackles because they were consistently thowing the ball to the man he was covering. The first touchdown was penalties and then a blown coverage in the endzone and the 2nd was Moss getting his first pass of the day on Washington.

It does not look like the Warfield of years past, maybe it will take him a few games to get back in rhythm. But, I was at the game, and watched the coverage from up high, and Warfield had a hard time staying with his receiver.

He made ton of tackles on the run as well. Most of the passes against him were in the soft zone that has killed us all year.
