Place to watch the game in SW Denver

For those of you living in Denver and looking for a place to watch the game this is where I'm going:

http://denver.citysearch.com/profile/1815606/

They've assured me they'll have the game on even though we play at the same time as Denver. Also, they have a damn good list of beer and very good food. This place is really close to me and I stumbled on it by accident a few weeks back. It's a great bar and I was able to bring my kids in with me to watch a game a few weeks back.

Cheers

That place is pretty cool. Haven't been in several years, but I don't remember too many TVs. They had a TON of pool tables and dart boards though.

I'd go to Rainman's house. Just knock on his door with an empty pizza box in your hands.

Cool. It's always nice to learn about new places.

I'll probably just go to the ESPNzone since I'll be working tomorrow. I hate it when the Broncos play at the same time as the Chiefs, though. The sports bars get all crowded, and there's lots of saliva on the floor and nose-picking and other assorted disgusting things, like people wearing Mike Anderson jerseys.

I'd join you, but between the game and the commute time for me to get downtown it just takes me away from the kids too long on a weekend. Plus I have to run some errands without the kids so if I did head to the Zone I wouldn't get to see them for nearly the whole day.

Ah. Sure.

I'm actually a little ticked at the ESPNZone right now. Last week, I got up from my table after the Chiefs game, and I loitered a few minutes to watch the end of the Chargers game. That chubby assistant manager came over and told me I was "just hanging around" and that I needed to either go to the bar or leave. I was like, "Dude, I just stood up from that table over there, and there's 30 seconds left in the game," but he insisted, so I sent a letter of complaint about him to ESPNzone. If they weren't so darned close to my office, I'd consider going somewhere else.

No kidding! I can't figure out why Bronco fans don't stay home and watch their own home game there. They infest sports bars around here, and by the second game slot they're sometimes plastered and some are embarassingly rude. I used to bring my older kids to watch a game at a local joint but not any more. It gets downright awkward. And it should just be fun, even for a Chiefs fan trapped in Bronco country.

Agreed. They should stay home if their game is on TV. No telling how many ankle bracelet alarms go off every Sunday because they have to go out drinking at the sports bar.

I have the same issues in north Dallas, I go to a local bar to watch Denver games. And, it amazes me at the number of locals that go out to watch Cowboys' games. I guess it's just the bar mentality... but I'm likely up for a rude awakening when I get to the bar today and they have Cowboys/Chiefs on the big screen with sound while 8 other tv's play the other games.

I understand why they show the local team, but I do not understand all the locals that leave their homes to watch the game that's playing in their home.
