Juice Fasting for 30 days?

Anyone ever try it? Four of my friends have done it and lost about 30lbs each. But for some reason I am not sold on it. Any help?

You are basically starving yourself. Of course it will make you lose weight, but I bet alot of that will be muscle mass as well.

Highly doubt that he is stupid since he has a PhD. in Nutritional Science and highly doubt I will lose my "arms" since he is built & solid since he works out. As well as my other friend who did it( as I mentioned) . We're all in a football league here in NY. And as in couple lbs. of fat, he went from being 220 to 170 something so he can move to the Corner position and I would like to move from Linebacker to SS. I was looking for people that have tried the diet itself for opinions. Not a Chiefs fan who is upset because our season is done.

It's a monumentally bad idea. Not only will a large portion of any weight loss be from lean tissue instead of fat, but very low calorie diets put your body into fat storage mode. The minute you go back to eating normally, you'll regain the lost fat and then some. You won't regain the lean tissue as quickly (or at all), leaving you actually fatter than before, even if you might weigh a little less.

Yep, too acidic, which will result in many negative side effects.

I have a friend that lost 30lbs in three weeks on the "PH Miracle" diet, which is alkaline in nature so it does not have the negative side effects. The first 3 weeks of this diet is all soups and shakes with no fruit or meat.
