Chiefs QBbC Experiment May Be Over

“We’re really thinking to be more decisive with the quarterback; let the guy who plays quarterback play quarterback,” he said. “If something should happen, then maybe you put the other guy in. But we’re thinking about, right now, just letting one guy play.

Makes sense to me. I have a feeling Gailey was behind the QBbC experiment.
Let's hope they go with one guy. Although if its Huard, we might see at least two QBs anyway.
I can't figure out why they didn't let Thiggy bootleg or sprint out or handoff on the counter/traps we saw in PS against Chicago.
That system looked pretty hot. It seems to have disappeared.

I say if you are going to use Thigpen as a band aid until Croyle returns, then use the playbook you would use for Croyle.

Herm is notorious for slow starts, and this thing could get a little better as the season unfolds. It can't get much worse.

If Gailey was the suspect behind that jackassery, he should be fired immediately. Also, so far, his offensive plans suck. Solari's offense performed better than this.

I still can't believe they did that. Watching that practice squad scrub, who I'd never heard of, come out on the field - WHO THE HELL IS THAT WEARING GREEN'S NUMBER

- and then he starts running the option offense - I mean, damn. It was like watching a really gruesome car wreck - shredded metal, body parts, streams of blood coming out, and you're sickened and disgusted, yet you can't turn away.

If there was a lower point in the history of this franchise, I thankfully can't recall it.

This has been my biggest question since the regular season started... why have counters, draws, bootlegs, and PA disappeared?

That was really dumb bringing in this quarterback, sending out that QB.

I couldn't tell what they were trying to accomplish. That game was terrible to watch. Just terrible. This isn't at NFL team. I can't stand Herm. This season is going to the worst in franchise history, if that be possible.

Well there was, and it was a Rhodes Scholar at the helm. Now please don't stir that memory again.

But I must admit, Herm is just as bad about trotting our team out their and embarrassing us with them.

Kind of like wearing hand me down, ill fitting clothes with holes in them, to church.

To be fair, Gailey once beat the mess out of opposing defenses with "Slash". Hagans was an attempt to put a David Palmer like athlete on the field to generate some unpredictability.
To his credit, Hagans completed his only attempt, and demonstrated that is not just in there to run.

My bigger probelm has been why did we go away from the great O playbook was saw against da Bears in PS?????

The biggest problem with putting Hagans (?) in at QB was that the other team knows we are going to run.

But you know Herm is still over riding play calls he doesn't like. We are still too conservative and too predictable on early downs, leaving us in 3rd and long many times.
