Croyle

All of a sudden, one of our roster's worst positions is now one of our deepest.

Cassell is a proven starter in this league, although exactly how good he is, as of now, is still a question mark.

Thigpen is obviously a solid backup, who with a little more experience can ably perform his duties without much of a significant dropoff. He's commanded the offense to a decent showing last season, so his teammates trust him. And he's very durable.

Croyle is probably exactly what you want in a third stringer. The ability is all there. So is some okay experience. He's not going to light anybody on fire but when you're down to your third stringer, nobody does. He's not going to be able to take much of a beating, but you can adjust your offense at that point.

Advantage: Haley over Edwards, Pioli over Peterson.

By the way -- has any team in NFL history EVER had two 7th round picks atop their QB depth chart?

My guess is Pioli drafts another QB somewhere in this draft.

I think if the team looks at Brodie Croyle's skills they might be tempted to keep him around but then when you look at his chances of making it through the season healthy, I hope that they would reconsider that option.

He doesn't have to make it through the season healthy.

He's the third stringer.

He just has to survive.

Pioli's a fan of project Qb's it seems. Brody has the tools, needs to work on his strength so he is more durable but he could improve.
