Anyone used Livemocha site to learn a language?
http://www.livemocha.com/
I am looking for a more affordable alternative to Rosetta Stone. This site looks to be pretty cool since you essentially learn by having your work checked by native speakers. Of course, one downside is I am relying on people in other countries to be able to properly speak their own language. Anyone used it or heard about it? |

Never heard of that.
I've got a very affordable alternative to paying for Rosetta Stone. Try a torrent, brah. The base software and all of the language packs are available on demonoid. |

FWIW, I went ahead and logged on with this site and I like what I see. I did the first lesson in Spanish and have already gotten pretty good feedback. I've also been able to help out a few people that are figuring out English. |

Registration is closed on that site...can anyone hook me up with an invitation? I'm possibly going to Italy, France, or Ireland next spring break. If I go with Italy or France, I'd like to learn the language.

I don't have any invitation codes right now. Did you check ISOHunt?

Got it off of thepiratebay. I might give Livemocha a try also if it gets any good endorsements here.
