Chiefs Grade the 1st Pre-Season Game...

Starting offense=C-...too many dropped passes and poor play calling
Starting defense=B...you can tell progress has been made
Special teams...B+...still need to do better on returns

I give all the backups a C+ on offense and defense

c-....I did expect more. The defense started out looking good though. Let's hope the offense can keep the D off the field for longer than a 4 down series.

It just feels like same shit different day to me.

Houston's starters won. Our scrubs are better than theirs.

Cassel did great. Receiving corps was questionable as expected. Playbook was put together by the maintenance staff.

Defense did better than expected, though I didn't like seeing Flowers get juked in the beginning. He did make some good plays towards the end though.
Good run defense.

I don't think you can grade the starting O as a unit. Haley is too busy disciplining Bowe and Bradley and it really limited Cassel. The rain didn't help much either. LJ looked ok.
