Uhhh...if you have kids, have influence, are in the public eye, etc....you ARE a role model, regardless of whether you wish it to be true or not. Now, you can debate whether Haley's a good role model or a bad role model, but the fact that he's a role model is not in question. This thread is a FAIL based on a flawed premise.

By my definiton a role model is someone you would aspire to be or act like. I would not want my children to see me shouting obcentities, screaming at grown men and lying at a press conference.
Now in the world of professional sports entertainment, that may be accepted as the norm. I suppose in NASCAR that type of thing may be the norm. Perhaps we should blame the media for the distruction of role models. I understand folks like Babe Ruth while no angels were the role models of the time, before intense media attention. |
