Chiefs Why is anyone surprised?

Don't get me wrong, I didn't see this game coming, but if you are a gambler trying to make a living in the NFL, you were broke week 2, probably.

Dallas beating the red hot Giants in the Meadowlands just weeks after losing to them big at home?

NE hanging 39 on Steelers D on thread after getting shellacked the week prior at Cleveland?

Detroit barely losing to the Bills AND the Jets two weeks in a row?

In a league that is ripe with parity and mediocrity, a team playing on the road against a rival coming off a bye after having played the previous two weeks into OT, is just the kind of little details that makes a HUGE difference this year.

I'm concerned about how they have played lately, but Im not over reading anything into this loss given the current going-ons in the league. It's done, they are tied for the division lead at 5-4. AGS. Any Given Sunday.

I agree and thank you for having some sense. Too many are melting down and going nuts. This team is young in many areas. The secondary is banged up and three of them are rooks. They are trying to work in inexperienced WR's. I'm not making excuses but look at us last year, we are better but games like this will happen from time to time with all of our youth learning new systems. It takes alot of vet leadershuip to win on the road no matter who you are playing. They fell down this week but the season if far from over. If we can win one road game and take of business at home that's 10 wins. It's very possible we do that.

In the off season we need to get a home run threat at WR and I am on the get a better QB wagon. Cassel's slow release, weak arm, inability to rally the troops to go along with inacuracy hurts us. Draft or trade whatever. Get this team a legit QB for once.

The thing is (and I'm as guilty as anyone) is that we start looking at the schedule and mentally checkmark the wins and losses. When a checked win turns into a loss, the sky is falling and vice versa. It's bad enough when it happens in a 'normal' season, but this year, when NOTHING in predictable, the chicken littles go absolutely bonkers.

I can't believe people thought we would just walk into Denver and get a win just because they appeared to suck. Winning on the road in the division is always tough. We need to take care of business at home in the same way and we'll be alright. Maybe.

I guessed 5-6 wins and said maybe with a few breaks we hit 8 wins at the end of preseason,so I'm not epically broken by our record.I'm ashamed of the way we choked like the Donks at Pile High but WTF are ya gonna do ya know.
