New Mad Max in 2012

Looks like Tom Hardy will star & the car will get a big makeover, not sure i like either one, they look too slick for a rough & tumble future world.

The one on the rights better, but they need to rough it up a bit, its like Max went to some state of the art dealership in post-apocalypse Australia.

Pretty much. You get a '73 Falcon and just a few years later you have an Ultra Modern ride...In a post apocalypse world?

C'mon Hollywood, quit ****ing shit up.

Those cars belong in a Batman sequel, not a Mad Max Sequel.

This will suck hardcore. The appeal of Mad Max is the grittiness and roughness of it all.

Great movies (well, the second one, anyway), until you think about it on a survival level.

They're out in the desert, and all they care about is gasoline for their souped up cars.

What the **** are they drinking? And eating? There's only so much pre-apocalypse canned dog food left. And I don't remember anybody so much as taking a sip of water from a canteen.

I guess this concept is no dumber than cars that turn into robots from outer space, though.

The 1st one has grown on me over the years, but yea, the 2nd one is a classic. The 1st one they originally dubbed over Mel's voice for American audiences. They put back the original audio on one of the DVD releases.

The 3rd one is ok, but the weakest IMO.

Crap. My bad, oh well I look like a dumbass.

At least they aren't doing another remake, I've gotten so used to seeing 3 2012 and whatnot for so many years I now automatically assume anything that shares the title of an old movie is a remake.

Will they hire Mel to come back for this one?

Hard to disagree with this, just judging by the cars i'm afraid its gonna be way too slick looking.

Its almost always impossible to re-capture the charm of an original anything.
