The kicked ass up until the last few weeks of the year when they played some tough competition and the Browns sort of phoned it in. I'm seeing him projected way further down then I would take him. Thoughts?

The Browns just lost one of their best run-blockers, guard Eric Steinbach, for the season. I'd be pretty wary of drafting Hillis in general but this just adds to it.

I expect a pretty steep regression from Hillis. I wouldn't avoid him like a cancer, but someone in my league is bound to take him way too high, so I'm not really considering how far he'd have to fall before I'd grab him.

Who is his backup? RB is more about carries/opportunity than skill (imho). I think the guys that will take a step back are the ones that suddenly have quality backups (mendenhall, foster, cj2k)

Another thing to consider is that a lot of people are picking Colt McCoy to have a breakout year. If that offense is explosive, Hillis could get more TD opportunities.

But I thought Hillis was somewhat a fluke last year, so I'm not taking him before the late 3rd.
