I watched the game again last night....

I've been trying to avoid it, but I was bored last night and couldn't resist. Im kinda glad I did watch it though. I can see why we lost the way we did and it had much more to do with the coaching staff than the players. I know it's not the popular opinion but I don't think the talent on this team is as bad as last week may indicate. That Includes Cassel (ducks for cover)

Romeo Crennel was out coached. He had a shit gameplan and did a terrible job. He was reactive instead of proactive. He put his players in a terrible position. He did not put the right players in a position to succeed. That was the worst DC performance I've ever seen from him. Let me explain.

On the majority of the Snaps the Bills came out and spread their offense. Crennel reacted by putting in our sub defense packages, which usually featured two down linemen. He took Dorsey out of the game and subbed in Gilberry.

The majority of 1st downs we were not in our base D. Gilberry is not an every down player, yet in the 1st half it seemed like he took more snaps than Dorsey. On the majority of Jackson's longer runs which occurred on 1st and 2nd down, Gilberry got his shit pushed in. When ever Dorsey was in the game the runs resulted in much shorter gains.

Gilberry and Bailey absolutely got blown off the ball. Gregg was inconsistant but Dorsey was a beast. So Why the **** wasn't Dorsey in the game more? Especially on first downs.

I recall a series in which the Bills were 10-15 yards from the endzone yet Gilberry took 3-4 consecutive snaps. That's unacceptable.

The Chiefs did EXACTLY what the Bills wanted them to do.

AND THEN....

Berry goes out and McGraw and Shitsthebeddy come in. Rather than masking that defeciency they completely expose it! In what ****ing universe does lining up pissthebedy over a slot receiver or TE make any ****ing sense? And lets not get started on the pass rushing.

I have a lot more to say regarding the offense but the OP is already too long....

In conclusion, the coaching staff failed to put the right players in the right position to succeed.

We should have been blitzing the shit out of Fitzpatrick from the beginning. You destroy his confidence first and then confuse him by dropping people back into coverage.

The offensive play calling did not help either.

The play that goCheifs gife'd up where Charles took a pass behind the LOS and got swallowed by 3 defenders...yeah that looked to me like it was by design.

Cassel snapped the ball, immediately tries to look it off but you could tell he knew exactly where he was suppose to go with the ball. FFS, Charles telegraphed the play the entire time. Did he even take his eyes off Cassel?

Agree 100 %. One of, if not the worst coached Chiefs game I've ever seen.

I thought i was going to turn the TV on and see a bunch of players that were unprepared and overmatched. Instead i saw a gross misuse of player personnel.

The play to Charles was a screen. Look at the .gif again and watch the linemen. It was a screen.

I taped the game too. Unlike you though, I don't think I have the stomach to watch it again. Probably just going to delete it before Sunday's game.

imo unprepared goes hand-in-hand with misuse.

When your players aren't ready to handle a certain formation or play then they are unprepared.

our coaching staff needs to step the **** up.

On offense we are playing checkers while other teams are playing chess.

You're absolutely right. The problem with what you say about Dorsey is if they put him in sub packages too then he ends up playing too many snaps. Most coaches/teams run their personnel packages the same way - according to personnel from the opposition. Buffalo was gonna move the ball one way or the other. You can't give a guy like Chan Gailey an entire offseason to gameplan for you after you fired him the year previous. That IMO was the main problem from a defensive perspective. I'd worry a lot more about the offense than the defense at this point. The casshole looks like he's continued his late season regression from last year - and Bill Muir looks like he'd fit right in as playcaller for Herm.
