Outcry over mother in labor camp

A mother's suffering has sparked nationwide outrage.

Meanwhile, authorities in central China's Hunan province have launched an investigation into her case in which she was sent to a labor camp after petitioning for justice for her daughter who was raped and forced into prostitution at age 11.

Reading news from China, sometimes one has to read between the lines.

1. It took six years for the perps to be sentenced. Could we say, someone has connection to the higher up?

2. She was sent to labor camp, without a trial.

3. The mother asked for death penalty for all seven offenders, because her daughter was left infertile by the repeated assaults. Her father says the girl's physical and mental states are still in poor condition, she still has psychological problems when she faces men. She had done numerous petitions but being ignored. Finally, the police fed up and acted against her.

Thanks to the internet, the news of her being sentenced sparked an outcry throughout the nation. She was released.
