outlook express mail settings
i have a old version of outlook express that i had to change the settings on to get mail from my comcast account...

i followed comcast's instructions and the mail started to come and go like it should...

but then avast throws an error message saying disconnect the ssl connection and avast will perform the ssl function instead...

but when i do that i don't get email coming or going, the servier times out...

how can i get outlook express and avast to play nice together?

I would go into Avast settings\Mail Shield, and disable SSL checking in Avast. Let the mail client worry about SSL.
