It doesn't make sense for 2013. It doesn't make sense for the team's recent history.
And it doesn't make sense for the totality of NFL history. It's a triple-fail. Alex Smith will be our starter, probably, for the next three years at least. If you don't declare that trade a 0, then 0 simply does not exist. |

Hard to imagine worse than the Cassel trade but it is because now who knows how long we are going be stuck with shitty QB Alex Smith and this shit just never ends.

I made the poll anonymous since my guess is that the minority would get chastised by the majority here, but for the record, I gave it a 6. If we don't draft a QB in the top three rounds in the next two years, that'll go down, but I'm OK with bringing in a QB to stabilize the team for a bit. I do hope that Smith isn't assumed to be the long-term option like Cassel, which worries me, but time will tell.
