Good deal for sunday ticket/Madden

Just picked the madden anniversary edition at amazon because you also get nfl sunday ticket for the season but only on computer, tablet, or phone.

Haven't been a big madden fan in years but with sunday ticket included it made me bite. Just passing along, thought some of the out of chiefs market/football diehards would like this deal...

My understanding is you only get the mobile Sunday Ticket if you're not able to get DirecTV service. If you are, you get $10 off the monthly subscription rate for DTV, not Sunday Ticket.

I read about it a lot on slickdeals, and looked the the faq here and it says:

No, it's not necessary to have a DirecTV subscription. Each Anniversary Edition includes a code that can be redeemed to access the full 2013 regular season (17 weeks) of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices.

What the FAQ says does not contradict the language in the offer. In fact it reiterates it. No, you do not need a DTV subscription to take advantage of this offer. If you are eligible to receive DTV however, the offer changes.

That text, "eligible gamers", concerns me. The only type of eligibility I can infer from that page or any other advertising, is in regards to ability (or lack thereof) to subscribe to DTV.

Well, on the slick deals link, on the wiki post it has some more info and quotes. I am hanging my hat on the fact it is from amazon, and if it does turn out to be crap, they have pretty good customer service..

I've had Mobile ticket-to-go on my PC/iPhone since 2010, and it works about as well as you'd expect it to - strong signal/wi-fi you're good...screen can get pixelated at times, but all-in-all a valuable service for sure.
