Is it cool enough to open a window? A storm is moving in to the east of Olathe, so it might be over you now.

Man, that is the worst. I can't sleep in the heat.
Honestly, if you have a bath tub, sitting in a cold tub for an hour will draw all the heat out of you and probably give you 3 or 4 hours of relief before you feel hot again. At least this used to work for us when we had a swimming pool. We would just chill in the pool a half hour or more and for whatever weird reason, it would have some residual cooling effect. Your mileage may vary. I hope the emergency AC repair prices don't gouge you too badly, but probably will. |

No friends or family that have a bed you can sleep in for one night?

sorry man - I just went through this - M.Man told me to turn of the breaker switch for the AC for an hour then turn back on.
I did that and IT WORKED! Maybe try it???? IDK if it's too late - hadn't read the rest of the thread, but. |

Cold ass shower. I mean so damn cold you can't stand it. Then air dry.
I feel your pain dude. I'd be in heaven if people kept their houses at 62. My wife won't allow that, and most people want them at 75, which is right at the threshold of what I can't stand. I spend most of my life miserable. |

I went through this too. Cooling unit had a leak and all the freon got out. Of course it was the first 90 degree string of days this summer after weeks of unseasonably nice weather. 88 in my apartment at night, cooled down to about 80 by sunrise, so I was sleeping from about 7 am to noon for a few days.
