Conley says Reid views Chiefs offense as 'living, moving thing'
Chris Conley says Andy Reid views Chiefs offense as 'living, moving thing'
By Joel Thorman @JoelThorman on Aug 12, 2015, 6:04a 11 11 Kansas City Chiefs rookie WR Chris Conley is an excellent interview so I took the opportunity to ask him a few questions on Tuesday. I heard Conley refer to Andy Reid as an offensive genius so I asked him: When did you figure that out? "I figured that out the first day," Conley said. "The first day we came here we had an offensive meeting. The terminology, the way he talked about the offense, it wasn't as if the offense wasn't just routes on a page. It was as if it was a living, moving thing and in his mind I believe it is. That's the reason this offense can work against so many defenses in so many situations and can adapt to changes. There's a learning curve when you come in as a young receiver and there's so much you have to get used to." What a great answer. I love that Reid looks at his offense like that because it speaks to the versatility and ability to adapt against something new. Adapting and doing it quickly is the name of the game these days. Then I asked Conley about having to know every wide receiver position and route in this offense. "Because of the multiple formations that we run everything out of and the sheer number of plays we run, you need to know every route and every position because given a tag word, that could change where everyone lines up and it's the same play." Has he learned all the positions and routes yet? "I'm not quite there yet," Conley said. "It's been a good process. Up to this point, I'm really comfortable with going in there and running those plays. I still have a lot to learn." There's no word yet if Conley's learning will include playing time in Saturday's preseason game in Arizona. Conley missed more than a week of training camp with a knee strain and returned this week. http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/8...-living-moving |

As long as it produces more points than the other team I don't care what he views it as.

Until game day when Reid becomes predictable to the point a couch-QB can predict the play...

Sentient organism that must burn at least two timeouts a game because it can't get set at the line of scrimmage in under 50 seconds.

Captain Picard would probably fail trying to prove this offense is sentient

This, the final read of the day, makes my head hurt. I'm going to bed now.
Good night.

I heard his interview on Sirius radio today. Chris Connely is a very well spoken person. You can tell he is very intelligent. he is someone you want as a spokesman for the team.
