Royals Alnorth Appreciation Thread

Since we're making appreciation threads...

I want to create one here for alnorth, whose game day threads have been a staple of the Chiefs Planet Royals experience for over a decade.

I know nothing about the code or html or linux or whatever the **** it is that he uses for his scoreboard. What I do know is it's brilliant. I love it. It's cleaner, faster, and more informative than getting a score update from even a smartphone app, which loads up with videos, unnecessary crap I don't care about, and doesn't give me the information I really want to know.

And he does it for shitty NL games, too, when he has to replace all kinds of pinch hitters, pinch runners... T3H DUHBLE SWITCHEZ!!!!1111... it's a huge headache, and alnorth does it without pay, and far too often without a thank you from all of us.

I'm raising my World Champion Royals glass to alnorth. I hope the Royals give him many more chances to start some World Series GDTs.

Definitely. I quit replying so much in the gameday threads (though they still probably constitute the majority of my post count), but chances are that if I was in front of a TV watching a Royals game, I was following along in the threads as well.

Try quoting one of his gameday thread posts to see the BB wizardry he has to pull off to make them as nice as they are. With all that complexity it would be forgivable to edit them only at the beginning and end of each game, but the man does live updates and IS A GODDAMNED HERO.
