Unreal Estate Game: Nevada
Five homes. Roll the dice on it, or just pick one.

My rankings:
Carson City - This is a great house. It's not fancy, but it's got good woodwork and a really nice porch. If you look at the location, you're a block from the state Capitol and you're on a street with lots of restaurants and activity (which I like). There's even a casino a block away if you like that (which I don't, but I can ignore it). You're about three miles from Lake Tahoe and a big natural area with trails and hills. This place rocks. Las Vegas - It's got high rise views of the strip, you can walk to a million restaurants and a mall, the rooftop pool is cool, and it's a really cool looking unit. I bet it would really wow the hookers who come up the elevator with you. On the downside, it's on the low end of my size requirements as a married man, there's no place to go running, I bet you have a lot of loud parties in nearby units, and the mall seems really expensive. I wonder if you would get tired of walking around on the strip at some point, too. If I was a single partier, this place would win, but I'm not. Incline Village - This is also near Lake Tahoe, and is actually very close. It's near the same natural area as the Carson City house, but even closer. It's got views of Lake Tahoe (kind of) and some nice style on the interior with their use of shiny metals (which hopefully won't oxidize). You can walk to some restaurants and are close to a ski area if you go for that (I don't). This is a very nice place, but I think I prefer the downtown Carson City location over this location. I could live here, though. Spring Creek - It's a huge house with lots of acreage. It's remote, but it's close to a town that has restaurants and services. I could probably go running on my own property if I could avoid snakebites. This place could be awesome, but it's not my preferred place in this heat. Also, I find it funny that someone owns a house this expensive and it looks like they got all of their furniture at a thrift shop. Stateline - Interesting house and style, but it's under 1,400 square feet. It doesn't seem like much house for the money. It's walkable to the town, though, and it would entertain me mildly to walk across state lines for some of your restaurant choices. It's my #5, though.

That's a tough one but I'm going to have to go with Spring Creek even though it's pretty far from everything. What's with all the baths in all the houses? When is the last time a man took a bath? That's a rhetorical question I'm not looking for an answer to by the way.Vegas would be interesting but the traffic of NYC or Las Angeles with the depth of culture of a McDonalds ball pit surrounded by drunk out of townees would have to grow old real quick. I'm still most surprised by the quality of houses in New York State (not NYC) that you can get for your money.

I'll go for Vegas. But not as my primary residence.
I bet a Raider buys it. Great location for hookers and blow. Last edited by eDave; 01-19-2017 at 10:03 PM.. |

I'm kind of shocked that Las Vegas isn't winning, even though I didn't pick it.

I love Incline Village, been there several times-that is the only one that appeals to me.

1. Carson City
2. Incline Villiage Spring Creek looks like a party house in the middle of nowhere. If I were a major drug dealer, I might pick that house. Last edited by Gadzooks; 01-20-2017 at 06:33 PM.. |
