Car help
I just bought a 2011 Chevy Malibu and the fob key doesn't work. Also the power lock on the driver door won't lock the doors but it will unlock all besides the driver side rear door. The passenger side power lock will lock and unlock all doors besides the rear driver's door. The fuse is good. Can anyone help with this?

This is probably obvious, but have you at least tried replacing the battery in the key fob?

Rear drive side door switch may be bad or faulty would be my guess. These systems often run in complete circuits and a fault in the circuit could cause failure.

For example, in some cars the power windows wont work unless all switches are plugged in to complete the circuit.

Have you tested that door lock switch?

And the Key Fob issue is probably a battery.

Replaced battery twice.

I'm guessing it is your lock actuator that isn't working:

Usually a good you tube video on showing how to program the FOB and troubleshoot and replace the actuator.

If you bought this car from an individual from Craigslist or the like, I would immediately go to a dealer and have them reset the FOB.

There is a big scam where someone sells a car pretty cheap, they keep a second or working FOB and then easily steal the car back after a few weeks.
