pup isn't permanent during training camp they can take him off anytime they want.

Technically I think that's incorrect. If you start the NFL calendar year (i.e. pre training-camp) on PUP, you can come off it any time. Once training camp starts, if you go on PUP, the same rules apply as they do when Game 1 rolls around: you can't come off until midseason.

True, but as was said earlier, we could get Nnamdi/Flowers and deal Carr. That would be more expensive, and whether or not it's worth it depends on your opinion of how good Carr will be. If you think he can be a top 5 or maybe even top 10 corner, it's probably not worth it. Otherwise, it seems like the Chiefs could front load some contracts and keep Nnamdi's deal from tying our hands too badly.

It's all bullshit anyway, since he's not coming here. I still think there's a scenario where it would be a great move. Of course, I am not an expert in balancing NFL contracts, so....
